Getting started

How do I sign in?

Open the Swiftimise app and sign in with the email and password set up for you by your employer. If you haven’t received an invitation or can’t sign in, contact your manager or email us at enquiries@swiftimise.com.

I forgot my password.

Use the “Forgot password” link on the sign-in screen to reset it by email. If you don’t receive the reset email, check your spam folder, then get in touch.

Checking in with an NFC tag

How does tap-to-check-in work?

At your workplace, hold your phone near the Swiftimise NFC tag. The app confirms you’re on site using your location and records your check-in or check-out automatically — no buttons to press.

What’s different on iPhone vs Android?

  • Android: tapping the tag opens the app and checks you in directly.
  • iPhone: tapping the tag shows a banner notification at the top of the screen — tap that banner to open the app and complete the check-in. This extra tap is required by iOS and can’t be skipped.
  • You can also open the app first and use the on-screen scan button on the check-in page on either platform.

Tapping the tag does nothing / opens a browser.

  • Make sure NFC is switched on (Android: Settings → Connected devices → NFC). iPhone NFC is always on for supported models (iPhone 7 and newer).
  • Hold the top of an iPhone, or the centre-back of an Android phone, against the tag for a second or two.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed, then try again.
  • If it still won’t work, email us with your phone model and we’ll help.

Location & permissions

Why does the app need my location?

Location is used only at the moment you check in or out, to confirm you’re at the correct work site. It is not tracked in the background. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

How do I enable location if I declined it?

  • iPhone: Settings → Swiftimise → Location → choose “While Using the App”.
  • Android: Settings → Apps → Swiftimise → Permissions → Location → Allow.

Notifications

I’m not getting notifications for new shifts or approvals.

  • iPhone: Settings → Notifications → Swiftimise → turn on Allow Notifications.
  • Android: Settings → Apps → Swiftimise → Notifications → turn them on.
  • Make sure you’re signed in — notifications are tied to your account.

Rotas, holidays & sick leave

Where do I see my shifts?

Your upcoming rota and shift details appear on the home screen once you’re signed in. You’ll be notified when a new rota is published.

How do I request holiday or report sick leave?

Open the menu and choose Holiday requests or Sick leave, then follow the prompts. Your manager is notified and you’ll get an update when it’s reviewed.

Account & data

How do I update my profile or documents?

Go to your profile from the menu to update your personal details and upload documents such as ID or fit notes.

How do I request my data or delete my account?

Email enquiries@swiftimise.com with your request. We handle data-subject requests as described in our Privacy Policy.
